J. Fredrick Wade, MD 
Joint Replacement Surgery
Dr. Joseph Fredrick Wade began his career in medicine by obtaining his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1985 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. In 1989, he received his Medical Doctorate from the Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. During medical school, Dr. Wade received the following awards:

- Alabama State Legislature Scholarship
- Tinsley Harrison Scholarship
- Dorsey Scholarship
- Sarah F. Davis Award
- The Academic Achievement Award
- The Superior Scholastic Achievement Award
Dr. Wade did his internship at the Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina from 1989-1990. He later completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery from the same institution in 1994 and was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Resident Award.
Dr. Wade is a native of Moulton, Alabama. Dr. Wade and his wife Stacey, have three children, Jake, Sam, and Helen. He has been involved in the Junior Church Youth Group with First Presbyterian in Columbia and currently serves as a deacon. In addition to his community involvement, Dr. Wade is a member of the:

He has also participated in the Habitat for Humanity in Middle Tennessee and in his free time enjoys biking, running, and playing golf.
